We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Haywards Heath Golf Club out going Captains, Sarah Brook and Martin Hubbard, for supporting us during the last 2016.
On Sunday 1st January, Dr Rachael James, Trustee and Joint Chair of The Sussex Heart Charity. was delighted to receive a cheque for £24,360.
The money was raised during their term in office through a variety Fundraising events organised throughout the year which included a Darts Match, 100 hole challenge, Captains’ Charity Day, Bridge Drive, Lindfield & Cuckfield Rotary Golf Day, Seniors’ Golf Day, Raffles, Auctions & many more. Sarah and Mike said “we are amazed and proud of the generosity of the members who have dug deep into their pockets to provide such a fantastic result”.
This year the Sussex Heart Charity will be celebrating 30 years of helping heart patients in Sussex, many of the projects we have supported or initiated are now considered standard care.
The money raised by members of HHGC will be used to help fund the ‘Saving Lives in Sussex’ project where in excess of 60 Automated External Defibrillator (AEDs) are being placed in every railway station in Sussex and key border towns and a specialised cardiac counselling service for cardiac patients.
