A medical response team comprising of paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance, volunteers at St John ambulance and Albion staff have been praised.

It’s after four people, who suffered cardiac arrests at or near to Brighton’s stadium, were successfully resuscitated since 2011.

It’s being put down to eight heart-starting defibrillators donated to the club by the Sussex Heart Charity, and the treatment provided.

The team have been recognized in South East Coast Ambulance Service’s force awards, for providing “outstanding” medical support at the club’s home games.

With a 100 per cent track record, the club has been dubbed the safest stadium in the world.
