Angela Brinkhurst presented to Rachael James joint Chair of the trustees of the Sussex Heart Charity, donations totalling £3,211.03 which had been collected in memory of her daughter Alice
Alice’s family said:
“The Cardiac Team at the Royal Sussex County Hospital with the support of The Sussex Heart Charity, took great care of Alice.
The treatment and dedication of the Cardiac Team was second to none, Alice was quite often admitted to the Sussex County in intensive care, where the doctors and medical teams thought very hard to save her. Her bravery and humour throughout her treatment made her a favourite on the ward. Her smile and her one liner quips would keep everyone in stitches.“ and we felt this was a prefect way to help other sufferers and to remember Alice
Alice’s family are very keen to see some of the money used to purchase an AED for Alice’s favourite football team Lewes FC,for their 3G pitch.
We will also (at he request of Alice’s family) create a comfort fund in Alice’s memory, which will be used for small items to help improve patients comfort while they are in hospital.
